There are several little expressions that indicate that what you are going to say next disagrees with what has just been said. Just like in English, these range from the circumspect to the downright rude, but let’s have a look at some of them!
1) ‘Vamos a ver’, ‘bueno’, ‘espera un minuto’ - all these have the meaning ‘just a minute’, or ‘hold on’
2) ‘Al contrario’ OR ‘por contrario’ – these two mean ‘on the contrary’
3) ‘¡Qué tonterías!’ – this is perhaps a bit stronger, and means ‘rubbish!’ or ‘nonsense’
4) ‘¡No digas bobadas!’ – this is the same as above
5) ‘Decir burradas/chorradas’ – ‘to talk drivel’
6) 'Zarandajas/pamplinas' – ‘nonsense’
7) And of course there’s the obvious ‘no estoy de acuerdo’ – ‘I don’t agree’
