Adding smilies to your posts and blogs

To add smilies to posts or blogs you first need to have access to the image. This can be an image that you upload yourself from your hard drive, or somewhere you can link to it on another site. I use firefox browser and have the smilies add-on. This means I have access to hundreds of the little blighters - they are great for adding a sense of what you mean in a message that otherwise could be misunderstood.

For example, I often say things tongue in cheek, but how can you convey that without facial expressions and body language? Using a smilie to show when you are being ironic, amusing, or yes, mad as hell makes your message come to life!

I've uploaded a few to start people off. You need to go to: http://spanishlanguagesite.com/smilie.html and then right click the url of the smilie you want to use and choose copy link locator. Then, in your topic or blog text box you click the little image logo above the box and paste that code into the box. This will put the smilie wherever your curser was.

Hopefully this network will enable a simpler solution to insert smilies in the future, but for now, this is a work-around method.
