hello, I've been learning Spanish for about four years now. I need to keep practising what I've learnt so that I don't forget it! My husband and I have a house in Rojales and I hope that via this site I can get to know other people who are interested in Spanish culture and the Spanish people.
Level of Spanish:
Upper Intermediate

hey Eileen how are you? I'll be over in La Marina on 30th April for 4 days, will you be around then to either come over or we could come to Rojales? Will be with my partner Keith and my mum. Will be great to see you. Lots of love Nina xxx
I haven't heard an expression for 'dark horse'. The best I can come up with is something un-idiomatic, like 'no se sabe nada de él' or 'es una caja de sorpresas', or something even further from what we mean 'incógnita'.
In doing the research though, I came up with some great expressions involving horses, which I will post later this week, so thanks for that!
Hi Eileen, welcome to our club. I've been learning Spanish for a while now too, although I must admit that since I've started on this website project with Matthew I haven't been studying for the past 10 Months! Shameful I know, but it's a bit like the plumber never fixing his own faucet. I'm so busy getting Matthews videos and all that goes with it together.....
anyway, I really haven't got an excuse now that we have such a great bunch of people here with the same goal -
Jan

Your message was good. Loved the subjunctive (that's just me!).
One thing: it's corrEgir - to correct!

Matthew

Matthew
